This Privacy Policy describes how Mecha Social Publisher ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and handles information when you use our application to manage and publish content on Instagram and Facebook on behalf of your business accounts.

1. Information We Collect

The App collects only the information necessary to provide its core functionality:

  • Instagram and Facebook account data: We access your Instagram Business Account and Facebook Page information solely to publish content on your behalf.

  • Content data: Images, videos, captions, and scheduling information that you provide for publication.

  • Access tokens: OAuth access tokens granted by you through Facebook Login, used to authenticate API requests on your behalf.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected exclusively to:

  • Publish photos, videos, reels, carousels, and stories to your Instagram Business Account and Facebook Page as directed by you.

  • Schedule and manage content publication on your behalf.

  • Retrieve basic account metadata necessary for the publishing process.

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose beyond the core publishing functionality.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information or account data with any third parties, except:

  • Meta Platforms: API calls are made to Meta's Graph API to publish content on your behalf. This is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.

  • Cloudflare R2: Media files are temporarily stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage to facilitate upload to Meta's servers. Files are accessible only during the publishing process.

4. Data Retention

We do not permanently store your Instagram or Facebook content data. Media files uploaded to our temporary storage are used solely for the purpose of publishing and are not retained beyond what is necessary for the operation.

Access tokens are stored securely and used only to perform actions explicitly authorized by you.

5. Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. You can also revoke the App's access to your Instagram and Facebook accounts at any time through your Facebook account settings under Settings > Security and Login > Apps and Websites.

6. Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information. Access tokens are stored securely and are never shared with unauthorized parties.

7. Children's Privacy

This App is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
